The Sportscaster:
This picture is 2 years old...SC is now a bright and lively 3 year old. She has been dubbed the SC because she loves to give you the play-by-play account of the action at every given moment. She will also give you the slow-motion playback even though you were there the whole time! I think she has a bright future at ESPN. What can I say about this one? She is a Daddy's Girl and a super-Ninja at emotional manipulation. You will find her at the heart of any covert ops (generally, she uses the twin brother to carry out her devious plans), acting as The Brain. Loves to push people's buttons. Don't be fooled by those gorgeous blue eyes and that sweet little face...she's always plotting. She definitely knows exactly who she is and what she wants (sometimes to be called Big Woody, sometimes Christopher Robin) and she will not be strong-armed into going against her convictions. May she never lose that quality. Sweet until crossed (at least to Daddy i.e. the Messiah), charming and kind to people who are not her brothers. The first to throw her twin under the bus when caught red-handed. If the ESPN thing doesn't work out, she'll either be a Queen or a Dictator. Either way, she was born to be in charge.
The Human Wrecking Ball: The other half of the twins. We named him the HWB from the moment he could move because umm...he wrecks things. Don't let this beautiful photo fool you, he is in almost constant motion. A total clown (he'll do many, many ridiculous/dangerous/disgusting things just to make his siblings laugh), he is often the comic relief in our house. Also a sucker for his sister, he is her Henchman or, perhaps more accurately, her Foot Soldier. He always falls for her plans and then is surprised when he lands On The Step for a Time Out when Mama catches them. He is a sweet little dude in his own rough way. He never means to hurt people...it just kinda happens. He went through an extended goat phase last year where he would eat: 1. Paper 2. Bugs 3. Stuff I won't mention here because it will make you vomit. Seriously. Despite his inadvertent roughness, he is also quite kind. He is the first to share his snacks (which the SC receives as if they were her queenly due). Just don't try to take his trucks.
The Closet Hermit: The man I married. Professional pilot, spectacular father, fantastic husband. Hatcher of some crazy ass plans. Like the time he wanted to buy a boat so we could live in it at the Marina on base. With a 3 year old and 2 babies. None of whom can swim. For fun, this man reads about investing in the stock market. Not sure how we ended up together, but I guess he needed some chaos in his life. He seems to have a radar that tells him when I am about to implode and accordingly takes the children off my hands so that everyone can survive another day. His deepest and most secret (I guess not anymore, right?) dream in life is to move to the wilderness on a tract of virgin land in a pristine forrest where we can, as a family, build our own house from scratch! In light of that ambition, our matrimonial union makes less sense as I once sprained an ankle dusting. Power tools are not my friends. Anyhoo...what else should you know about him? He is the rock solid foundation of our family, though he travels a lot and works even more. He is kind, compassionate, pretty open-minded for a dude, and slightly anti-social. You know, in a nice way.Our Family Portrait from last year:
**All Photography done by Kassia Reedy Photography...she is a genius! You should google her! You can't even imagine what she had to do to get these photos...believe me, it is hard to get 3 kids and their nervous, slightly irritated parents to look at the camera at the same time without closing their eyes, scratching their butts, whacking each other with plastic whales.
