It was time. Time for someone to go to the ER. Sportscaster's first, to be exact and she was super excited (after she got over the initial pain and outrage)!! We were worried she might have a scar, so I brought her to the ER. (I suppose I should explain that I was downstairs putting dinner on the table while the twins were upstairs in their brother's room, "having a sleepover" and then crash! Scream! I run upstairs and SC's face is covered with blood. Of course it was 6:30. Of course my husband was still at work. He came home a half hour later so we could make ER run). She thought the whole thing was pretty awesome...she was giggling and laughing and declaring she wouldn't be shy with the doctors. They were all IN LOVE with her. She did as she was told, held still at the appropriate times, etc. I think she wants to go back...I'm sure HWB can help her out with that...
PS I have never been so angry with a little boy in my life! He'd been hyper all day and she was egging him on all day and I
knew it was going to end in tears somehow. I had just checked on them and it seemed so quiet and calm in there. Then: Boom! Tears and blood. I kept thinking how lucky she was she didn't fall on her eye...ahh...now I have to go to a soccer game! More later, I am sure...although I hope this is our one trip to the ER this quarter :)
I forgot to mention that there were no stitches, just Dermabond, which is super glue for your skin. We were home by 10 pm...
