We are too cool for school...

Cause we got new Buzz Lightyear sunglasses!!!!
On Friday I took the kids to the Living Museum because I'd spent the week dragging them all over town, running various errands.  We had a blast, running amok on the trail outside and then playing at the log (we were on a truck going to Maine, according to Michael) with our rad Buzz Lightyear shades from the BX (they wear them all the time, like they are tiny rock stars).  I'm fairly certain that we caused some more feathers to fall off the poor Bald Eagles (that have already lived through having part of their wings shot off by hunters) with all the thundering footsteps rocketing past.  Still, we had a fantastic time...especially because eventually our buddy, Hailey showed up and terrorized the animals in the touch tank with us!!!!

Mikey always does his own crazy thing...

L guarding his buddy, C, at his last game (thank goodness!)...
 Saturday was L's basketball game...
Coach F vs. Coach T...

I'm not sure L was on the court for this quarter...

Just some rowdy spectators...

A rowdier spectator...
L actually played in the game!!!  Hooray!  Must've been showing off for Nonnie (who arrived late Friday night)!!!  He only got drinks at the water fountain for a few minutes.  He spent most the game guarding his buddy, Cev, who might be the same height, but is about a year and a half younger than he is.  The crowning moment of L's career as a basketball player was when he stripped the ball from Cev (who was finally passed the ball) as Cev was trying to dribble.  L later told Cev's mom, "I knew it was time for defense.  And I knew my only chance at getting the ball was if someone gave it to Cevan.  So when they passed the ball to him, I STOLE IT!!!"  And of course, poor little Cev was looking around like, "But you're my friend, why'd you take the ball from me?!?"  L made it up to him a little later by holding his hand and giving him a hug.  I felt a little sad because Cev is such a precious sweet boy...but as his dad says, "You can be friends OFF the court!"  L was quite proud of himself, as you may imagine...the only other times he's actually touched the ball is when it bounced off his head because he wasn't looking because he was pretending to be Buzz Lightyear or when he was passed the ball, but someone stole it from him....

Sunday was C's birthday party day!!!

Again, M, wearing his hat the way he wants...

The sweetest 4 year old ever born!  And probably the only one at the party who wasn't interested in cupcakes...
Sunday was party day at Inflation Nation!  Hooray!  Cev turned 4 and the kids had a fabulous time despite the fact that it was 30 degrees and rainy.  Oh wait, the cold never bothers kids, right?  Just their parents who were pining for warm spring weather!  The twins skipped their nap, but were awesome.  No crying, no tantrums.  Amazing!  L did keep nosing in on the action when it was time to open presents, though.  He wanted to be the one passing them over to Ms. Chy and Cev.  And I kept telling him to back up, but he said, "Ms. Chy, can you please say, 'Luke, I need your help?'"  She's always a good sport about him...
***Oh yeah...L isn't in the party pictures because Ms. Brook was at the party and he was totally enamoured of her (as usual)...he kept sitting next to her and trying to hold her hand and impress her with her lasering skills.  Hilarious!  Well, we found it endearing, I'm not sure if she is creeped out yet.  Hope not...

We've definitely had a busy weekend...hope you like the pictures!  Oh, and here is what happens to Mikey after no nap and the excitement of a party...
